Q. Do I have to pay for delivery?
A. Delivery charges do apply to all orders placed with us however we are more than happy to do a package deal when you are looking at buying alot of furniture from us. Please contact us if you have any questions prior to purchasing, otherwise all our freight costs are outlined on our website when you use our freight estimate calculator.
Q. What do I do if i check the freight cost online and is says " Please contact us for a freight price"?
A. If you receive this message on our website it means that your postcode may be entered incorrectly or your area is not covered with our couriers. In that case please contact us so we can check alternate options on freight to your region. Our website allows you to check the freight costs for all areas of Australia that our carrier ships to as we use Airroad to deliver all our goods around the country. You can check their national coverage here.
Q. Do you deliver outside the metro areas?
A. Yes we do. We deliver Australia wide.
Q. Does your delivery charge include insurance automatically?
A. Yes. Goods are immediately covered up to $1000 however glass is excluded.
Q. When will my order be dispatched?
A. Usually all orders will be dispatched within 2-5 working days from receipt of payment. Depending on the time of year, some periods are busier than others and some delays may occur. Please check at the time of placing your order to see how long it will take to receive your goods.
Q. Do I need to be home to accept delivery?
A. Yes this is preferred. We do not ship goods to a location and leave them unsigned for unless you give us special instructions to do so at your approval. This is in your best interest as goods can be stolen and Outdoor Furniture Ideas will not take any responsibility for this. You need to ensure someone will be at the address given to us when delivery is to occur or be happy to leave us instructions and have goods left without being signed for.
Q. What happens if I miss the delivery?
A. If you have been notified that your delivery will occur on a particular day and you are not there when the truck arrives, you will be charged a redelivery fee. This must be paid before your goods will be redelivered to you or alternatively you can collect the goods from the nearest depot they are at.
Q. Can I specify a delivery time?
A. You can request a preference in delivery time only for Sydney Metro Deliveries. All deliveries are made between 9am – 4pm Monday – Friday only however we can request the driver call you prior to delivery so you know an estimated time for your delivery. Interstate deliveries are made using our third party carrier Airroad and we request they call our interstate clients the day prior to delivery so you make arrangements directly with them and are aware of the exact date your goods are being delivered.
Q. Will my delivery fit when it arrives?
A. This is something that you need to measure and check carefully prior to making a purchase. If you are buying an item that is quite big you should check your door clearance and any other entrances first. Also please check your lift access as outdoor furniture is generally bulky and you need to ensure that it will fit in any elevator.
Q. Do you deliver upstairs?
A. No, not unless you have specified this at the time of placing an order as special requirements and extra people are needed when the delivery is not to kerb side or street level. You need to advise us of this in advance before your delivery takes place as extra charges will apply.
Q. Is rubbish removal and assembly included?
A. No, our standard delivery does not include rubbish removal and assembly. If this is a requirement please let us know and we can get a quote for you prior to purchasing.
